Áine Walsh is Head of the Irish Language Broadcast Fund at Northern Ireland Screen.  

For over 10 years Áine has worked closely with the local Irish language production sector and broadcasters to deliver Irish language content across a range of genres and to develop the local production sector.  She is also responsible for a number of training programmes for Irish speakers working or seeking to work in production. 

Prior to this she worked as an assistant producer and producer in UTV, working across entertainment and documentary programmes, including The Kelly Show and A Day in the Life.  She also worked as a radio presenter and producer for BBC Northern Ireland’s Irish Language Unit and as a radio producer with Radio Kerry.

Alison is one of the UK and Ireland’s most respected documentary film-makers. She’s a BAFTA, IFTA and Prix Italia winner with a reputation for making emotionallycompelling films. Trained at the National Film and Television School, Alison then worked with Mike Leigh’s producer Simon Channing- Williams at ‘Imagine Films’ in London. She went on to make observational documentaries for BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4 with many of the UK’s best-known Independent Companies, as well as working in-house for the BBC Documentary Department in White City. In 2010 Alison moved back to Belfast and founded Erica Starling Productions Ltd.

In addition to Exec Producing Duck Soup’s TV Dramas and Films, most recently Lost Boys and Fairies for BBC1 and Dance School for Ch4,  Bekki is responsible for developing and executing the company’s creative and business strategies, as well as nurturing relationships with key talent and seeking out new projects for the slate.  
 
Prior to Duck Soup Films, Bekki Wray-Rogers had been producing high-end TV drama productions, including Shane Meadows’ THIS IS ENGLAND ’90 and ‘THIS IS ENGLAND '88 (Warp Films / Channel4) and the first two series of UTOPIA (Kudos Film & TV/Channel 4.) THIS IS ENGLAND ’88 and ‘90 won the BAFTA for best Drama mini-series in 2012 and 2016 respectively and UTOPIA won a FIPA, a clutch of RTS awards, and an International EMMY in 2014 for Best Drama Series.  
 
Bekki started her career in Film & TV making short films and low budget features and attended the National Film and TV School to study producing.

Cai Morgan is the Head of Boom Social, the digital and social media division of Cardiff based production company, Boom. His team of digital media experts produces and distributes over 650 pieces of digital content annually for channels such as BBC Wales, S4C, Hansh S4C, as well as various businesses including the Welsh Government, FAW, and Welsh Water. Cai joined Boom at the age of 16 as a part-time production runner and over the next decade rose through the ranks to become a head of department. Today, he leads a team of 14 digital content natives that produce content of all shapes and sizes for the16-34 demographic- ranging from 15 second TikToks to longform documentaries. 

Calum Maclean is a creator, presenter and author based in the Scottish Highlands.
From beginning work as a broadcast journalist, he pivoted to using social media as both a creative outlet and to generate new opportunities. 
Best-known for his outdoor swimming adventures and Scottish Gaelic content, he was named the “most influential Scot on TikTok”.
Calum works across both linear broadcasting and social media, appearing regularly on BBC ALBA & BBC Scotland.

Born in Llwynypia, Rhondda, Carolyn Hitt read English at Oxford University and, after gaining the Thomson Regional News Certificate of Journalism as a trainee reporter on the Neath Guardian and Merthyr Express, began her career on The Western Mail.

Here she became Features Editor and won Welsh Feature Writer of the Year, before switching to broadcasting, joining the independent production company Presentable.

In 2012 she co-founded Parasol Media, whose productions included BBC2’s Only Connect and numerous documentary, history, sport, music and entertainment programmes and multi-media projects.

Carolyn has presented programmes for BBC1, BBC2, BBC Wales, ITV Wales, Radio 4 and Radio Wales and as a Bafta Cymru and Celtic Media Award-nominated producer has worked with some of Wales’s most famous names including Dame Sian Phillips, Gabby Logan, Max Boyce, Cerys Matthews, Eve Myles, Sir Gareth Edwards and Baroness Tanni Grey Thompson.

She has delivered some of BBC Wales’s biggest audience figures with large-scale entertainment TV shows and created the multi-platform media project Hidden Heroines that helped secure the first statue of a named woman in Wales.

As an independent, Carolyn had a creative relationship with Radio Wales for more than 20 years, producing live daily and weekend strands, documentaries, factual series, comedy shows and themed curations of the entire schedule.

She has combined her broadcasting career with written journalism, contributing to The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and numerous magazines and for 30 years was The Western Mail’s award-winning weekly columnist. In 2020 she won Columnist of the Year at the Society of Editors UK Regional Press Awards for the third year running.

She has proved a female pioneer in sports media. In 1998 Carolyn was the first woman to win Welsh Sports Journalist of the Year and went on to win the award for the whole of the UK. She also became the first woman to win The Welsh Sports Hall of Fame Journalist of the Year and in 2016 she was the first woman to win the Society of Editors UK Regional Press Awards Sports Journalist of the Year.

She has written on rugby for the Daily Telegraph, L’Equipe and the WRU. In 2012 she published her first sports book – Wales Play In Red, which featured interviews with some of the biggest names in the game and some of rugby’s most stellar fans. In 2015 she published her second book, Welsh Rugby in the 70s.

She has created myriad sports programmes including histories of the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Six Nations and British and Irish Lions and TV sports entertainment formats celebrating the Rugby World Cup and marking the 70th birthday of Sir Gareth Edwards. In 2019 she presented the acclaimed BBC Wales documentary The Rugby Codebreakers and has contributed to Scrum V, Slammed and Amazon Prime’s global series The Story of Rugby as well as providing punditry for Radio Wales, Radio 4 and Five Live.

One of her proudest achievements, however, remains beating a 15-year-old Gary Barlow in the BBC’s schools carol-writing competition A Song for Christmas in 1986…not that it held Gary back! As the producer kindly offered Carolyn BBC work experience through her subsequent student years, it proved the spark that lit the flame of her broadcast aspirations.

In September 2022 Carolyn joined BBC Cymru Wales as Editor Radio Wales and Sport.

Celi has spent over twenty years working in film and television, in both development and production. She began her career in factual television working on a wide range of high-rating productions for both the BBC and the Independent sector including: Coast; History Cold Case; Secret Britain; and The Summer Exhibition. She has worked at a number of film companies including Wildgaze Films and Number 9 Films. Projects include Lone Scherfig’s Their Finest, and Juan Carlos Medina’s The Limehouse Golem. Prior to her current role, she worked for Ffilm Cymru Wales as a Development Executive. 
 
Celi is the Commissioning Executive in Wales. She works across both Network Drama Commissioning and BBC Writers, to find and nurture new writing talent and support the development and production of the Wales drama slate.

Daf James is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, composer, performer and novelist working in both English and Welsh. After gaining a first class degree in English literature at Edinburgh University he trained in the Lecoq method at the London International School of Performing Arts, and received his doctorate in Theatre Studies from the University of Warwick. Daf’s first show as his alter ego ’Sue’ – My Name is Sue – won a Total Theatre Award for Music and Theatre. His subsequent play Llwyth [Tribe] ‘announced James as a major new voice, and pioneered a bold new Welsh-language theatrical vernacular’ (the Guardian). Recently his play On the Other Hand, We’re Happy won best production at the LA Drama Critics Circle Awards, and his first book Jac a’r Angel has been shortlisted for the Tir na n-Og Award for children’s literature and the Wales Book of the Year Award.
 
He is the creator, writer, music director and executive producer for ‘Lost Boys and Fairies’, his first original screenplay for the BBC. Daf developed the project with Duck Soup Films as part of BBC TV Drama Writers' Programme 2019.

Dafydd Iwan is a Welsh icon. A singer, composer, campaigner, politician, preacher, and businessman, he lives in Caeathro in Gwynedd with his wife, Bethan. Born in Brynaman in 1943, Dafydd became interested in politics at a young age and after competing in local Eisteddfods, he found a passion for music and writing poetry and lyrics in his early teens. He combined those interests and was inspired to write his own songs, influenced by Welsh folk and hymn singing as well as some of the American singer-songwriters such as Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger. He rose to fame with his 1960s protest songs and has been performing ever since. Welsh football's recent adoption of his anthem 'Yma o Hyd' (Still Here) has twice taken it to No.1 in the iTunes charts and catapulted Dafydd Iwan and his music to a new audience. 40 years since it was first penned, the Red Wall – as the Welsh football fan base is known - is belting out ‘Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth, Ry’n ni yma o hyd’ (‘Despite everyone and everything, we are still here’) at every match.

David Harron is Commissioning Executive for Factual at BBC Scotland.  He previously worked for many indies, BBC Scotland and stv as a producer and director on arts, documentary and sports programmes for various broadcasters.  His credits include Grand Tours of Scotland, The Harbour, Danny MacAskill: Riding The Ridge, The Bridge: 50 Years Across The Forth, Teenage Millionaire: The Year I Won The Lottery, Scotland’s Game, Brian Cox’s Russia and Coming Oot: The Fabulous History of Gay Scotland. 

Declan McLoughlin is the Director of Online and Media Codes & Rules in Coimisiún na Meán. He has over 20 years’ experience of media regulation and is currently committed to developing Ireland’s first Online Safety Code.
In his role with Coimisiún na Meán and with its predecessor, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Declan oversaw the regulator’s sustainable development brief, including the establishment in 2020 of Sustainable Media Ireland, the national sustainability network for broadcasters and their programme makers. He was the vice-chair of the Network until 2023. More recently, he managed a feasibility study on the future of the albert carbon toolkit in Ireland which concluded with Coimisiún na Meán agreeing to become the national franchise partner with albert, taking on responsibility for the continued use of their carbon toolkit across the Irish audiovisual media sector.
He is member of the independent complaints committee of the Advertising Standards Authority in Ireland and is a former member of the Contract Awards Committee, the national statutory body that was responsible for the awarding of radio and television contracts. He is a graduate of All Hallows College, Dublin, the Irish Management Institute, University College Cork and The Honourable Society of King’s Inns.

Denzil Monk is the founder and CEO of ecosophical film company Bosena, based in West Cornwall. Developing a slate of features with backing from Film4, the BFI, The Uncertain Kingdom and Screen Cornwall including BAFTA winning writer/director Mark Jenkin’s Enys Men, Henry Blake’s (County Lines) second feature The Golden Radiance of a Beetle with producing partner Victoria Bavister and Esther May Campbell's (Light Years) second feature A Deft Pin to the Heart. Denzil is also engaged in research and innovation at Falmouth University as Project Lead, A Case for Cornish Public Service Media and in Knowledge Exchange at the Sound/Image Cinema Lab.

Elaine is Project Manager for the UK Global Screen Fund at the BFI and was previously Production Executive for the Young Audiences Content Fund. Her background is primarily in children’s television and animation production. She was Script Editor on Series 3 of Go Jetters, on comedy education series Ask Lara, and on Toot the Tiny Tugboat; and was a Development and Animation producer at Red Kite Animation, Super Umami and Once Were Farmers in Scotland, before moving to Manchester in 2018, where she has also worked for BBC Children’s and Kilogramme Animation.

Evanne Ní Chuilinn, from Kilkenny, has worked as a sports Broadcaster with RTÉ for 20 years.  She has travelled extensively as a sports journalist to various World and European Championships, and Olympic and Paralympic Games. This summer she will anchor RTÉ's coverage of both Paris games.

Evanne also previously worked on TG4's sports programming, and is a fluent Irish speaker. In 2016, she completed a Masters in Sport Management, and produced a research paper on the topical issue of trust restoration in the governance of competitive sport. She was awarded Best TV Programme (Oireachtais na Gaeilge Awards) in October 2020 for her TG4 documentary on the history of adoption in Ireland. 

Evanne coaches the Under 9 girls at her local GAA club, and in 2022 she published her first book, 'The Great Irish Book of Gaelic Games'. She is a proud Mammy to Séimí (12), Peigí (8), and Teidí (2), and lives in Dublin with her husband Brian

Gareth has been Chief Executive of Rondo Media since 2008.  Rondo is one of the largest independent production companies in Wales employing over 80 full time staff and with production bases in Caernarfon, Cardiff and on Anglesey.  Gareth started his career as a BBC trainee producer in 1998 and later joined independent production company Opus in 2001 where he produced several documentaries, music and event programmes.   He was appointed Chief Executive of Opus in 2006 before being one of the founding directors of Rondo Media two years later.  Gareth has worked as an executive producer and co-producer of content for a wide range of broadcasters and has been a juror for the International Emmy Awards.  From 2018 until 2021 Gareth was Chair of the trade industry body for Welsh production companies, TAC (Teledwyr Annibynnol Cymru).  Gareth is also a director of Yeti Television, Aria Studios and the music charity Anthem.

Gemma is a former international footballer and captain of Scotland who, after 19 years of top level sport, successfully transitioned into the professional world. She is vastly experienced in working with Governing Bodies of Sport both national and international as well as local, regional and national governments. 

After building and leading a department to transform and deliver consistent female performance pathways within Scottish Rugby that lead to success on the world stage, Gemma transitioned into Head of Women & Girls Strategy before leading the recent delivery of the Scottish Rugby new corporate strategy.  
 
She has established a number of initiatives to support the growth of the women’s game in Scotland most recently the launch of the Celtic Challenge Semi-Professional Rugby League.

In addition to her work within Scottish Rugby Gemma as represents Scotland’s interests as a representative on Rugby Europe as well as siting on the World Rugby Council with a responsibility of overseeing the Governance of the World Governing body of the sport.

Away from her day job Gemma is an experienced Public speaker, as well as regularly mentors as part of the WISH Olympic Programme and is a regular contributor on a variety of programmes and productions across BBC, STV and Sky both in sport and current affairs as well as brief stint in drama

Throughout his career, Huw has built a solid reputation within the music industry as a prominent supporter of new and unsigned talent. He began broadcasting on the BBC in 1999, when aged 17, he became the youngest ever DJ on BBC Radio 1, championing the music scene of his home country of Wales. Since then, he has presented their BBC Music Introducing show championing artists including Little Simz, HAIM, Loyle Carner and Wolf Alice in their early careers. Huw presents the Afternoon Show on 6 Music from Central Square in Cardiff. He also broadcasts from Glastonbury on 6 Music and BBC iPlayer, and presents Saturday Live for BBC Radio 4. He is a presenter on BBC Radio Cymru in the Welsh language and on BBC Radio Wales. Huw hosted documentaries on Welsh Art and Music for BBC Wales and BBC Four. He is also the co-creator of Sŵn music festival in Cardiff and the co-founder of the Welsh Music Prize. His book, Wales 100 Records takes in a hundred records from Manic Street Preachers to Gwenno.

Ian has written for many top comedy shows. He was Executive Producer/Head Writer on MY FAMILY, and writer/show runner on three series of AFTER YOU’VE GONE (BBC). Four series of THE BREAK (Absolutely Productions) have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4, with a fourth to follow in 2022. With James Hendrie, he wrote the BBC sitcom HOME AGAIN, and was commissioned to adapt Agatha Christie’s WHY DIDN’T THEY ASK EVANS? for the big screen. Among his other credits, Ian numbers MY HERO, DROP THE DEAD DONKEY, HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, NOT THE NINE O’CLOCK NEWS, ALAS SMITH & JONES, THE LENNY HENRY SHOW, WEEK ENDING and THE NEWS HUDDLINES. He also co-created DIAL M FOR PIZZA (two series) and TALES FROM THE MAUSOLEUM CLUB (two series) for BBC Radio. He is currently writing a stage version of THE BREAK.

Irial Mac Murchú, is Nemeton’s CEO and owner. Coming from a background in journalism, Irial started in production in 1994 and went on to produce and direct several award-winning documentaries and sports programmes. He now runs the company he founded over 20 years ago and has built it into one of Ireland’s biggest TV and web production companies, having most recently won the contract for BBC Alba sports in Scotland. The company is a key driver of the creative and TV technology industries in the South East of Ireland. Irial is also a board member of Screen Producers Ireland.

Iwan England is S4C’s first Head of Unscripted tasked with developing co-productions, premium limited series and formats. He has over two decades’ experience, notably Executive Producing the Broadcast Award winning ‘Fi, Rhyw ac Anabledd;’ developing, directing and producing BBC1’s BAFTA Cymru winning ‘Aberfan – The Fight for Justice’ and picking up a British Podcast Award for one of his many collaborations with stand-up comedian Elis James. He’s a recent graduate of the Factual Fast Track career progression scheme, funded by the BBC, Channel 4 and S4C, which aims to progress producers into senior creative roles.

John has worked for PRS for Music for over 22 years. He has long experience of both the Welsh and London music industry. Currently the Senior Membership Relations Manager for Wales, he serves all Welsh PRS and MCPS composers, publishers and authors. Before his membership role he worked across several different areas ranging from repertoire and copyright to all aspects of licensing. He initiated the first joint licensing of MCPS and PPL repertoire and was instrumental in devising the blanket licensing of repertoire used by independent production companies for S4C, which is in place to this day.

He set up the Welsh copyright group of music publishers which discussed issues concerning the licensing of predominantly Welsh language repertoire on S4C. 
Having moved back to Wales from London in 2013, his current role for PRS for Music involves dealing with Welsh membership issues on behalf of composers and publishers, hosting PRSfM events, giving seminars at colleges and festivals, and meeting Welsh composers, publishers and key stakeholders.

Joseph Hoban is Head of Communications, Events and Partnerships for RTÉ. Formerly Chair of the Communications Directors Expert Group of the EBU, he was instrumental in setting up RTÉ's original social media infrastructure, which now boasts over one million followers.

Julie Grenier is from Kuujjuaq, a small community in Nunavik, Northern Québec, Canada. 
Julie is currently working as the Executive Director for Taqramiut Nipingat Incorporated (TNI), a regional radio and television production company that serves the Inuit of Nunavik Northern-Quebec and broadcasts 100% in the Inuktitut language.  She has held different positions at TNI before taking on the Executive Director position and she directed many documentaries and series aired on APTN and on Nunavik’s community television network (NCTv), including a feature about Environmental advocate and Nobel peace prize nominee, Sheila Watt-Cloutier.
Julie is also the current Chair of the Board of Directors of the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), a position she has held since 2019. In 2021, Julie was appointed to the Inuit Art Foundation Board of Directors, where she is the Secretary Treasurer.

Justin is an executive producer for BBC NI with a range of experience across scripted and unscripted with notable credits in Feature Docs, Natural History, Specialist Factual, Sports Docs, Factual Formats and single TV Docs. Credits include: BAFTA nominated and Grierson winning Patrick Kielty: My Dad, The Peace Deal and Me, Grierson winner Wild Ireland,  Celtic Media Award winning A Different League-The Derry City Story and Road, Carl Frampton: Men in Crisis, Young Plato, Bobby Sands: 66 Days and Beauty Queen and Single (RTS). He also oversees BBCNI’s acclaimed single doc strand True North for Our Lives.

Kaye Adams is one of the country’s most experienced live TV and radio broadcasters.

For BBC Scotland, she hosts The Kaye Adams Programme, a three hour live daily radio show covering topical news and features.

Kaye is also a regular anchor on ITV’s award-winning, daytime chat show Loose Women and is a contributor to a variety of other TV and radio programmes .

In 2022, she joined the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ line-up and now hosts her own podcast ‘How To Be 60’ with co-host Karen Mackenzie 

She’s braved both Question Time and Have I Got News For You and sat in the more cosy surroundings of Countdown's Dictionary Corner. She has popped up on ITV’s Family Fortunes, Big Star, Little Star, Celebrity Squares, Pointless and The Chase. She came out on top in Celebrity Mastermind and a complete flop in Celebrity Masterchef.

Kaye has also been a regular columnist for a number of national titles and has an impressive roster of corporate clients. 

She has an ability to quickly pick up complicated briefs and communicate messages to an audience in a personable but informed manner. An adept interviewer, Kaye is comfortable with senior figures and more junior staff alike.

Kevin Bakhurst officially commenced the role of Director-General of RTÉ on Monday 10th July 2023.
Kevin Bakhurst was previously Managing Director of News & Current Affairs at RTÉ and Deputy Director General from September 2012 – October 2016. He was also a member of the RTÉ Executive throughout this period and served as acting Director General for a six-month period.
Prior to re-joining RTÉ, Kevin Bakhurst was Group Director, Broadcasting and Online at Ofcom where he was a member of Ofcom Board. Kevin’s responsibilities included setting Broadcast Strategy and Policy for UK broadcasting regulation, creating and implementing the framework for regulating the BBC, enforcing and developing editorial standards for UK broadcasters and leading work on the future of UK Public Service Broadcasting which has led directly to new government legislation. He has led Ofcom’s work on the UK’s new Online Safety Policy and built a team of around 350 to deliver it, including a new data and technology team, and in the process shaping the overall transformation of Ofcom to take on the new duties.
Between 2006 and 2012, Kevin Bakhurst held a range of senior editorial positions at the BBC, including Controller, BBC News Channel and Deputy Head, BBC Newsroom from 2005. He was also a member of the BBC’s London 2012 Olympics Steering Committee

Lana Pheutan is an actor, writer and director from the Isle of Skye. She is a native Gàidhlig speaker and works bilingually across theatre, television and radio. She co-wrote Glan Fhèin and Dad Sam Bith for BBC Alba, both nominated for a Celtic Media Awards (2024). She is the current recipient of Playwrights’ Studio Scotland’s Gaelic Playwriting Bursary and has been selected to take part in the inaugural Sean Connery Talent Lab. She is passionate about representing Gaels as the bold and complex individuals they are, writing stories about the people who live in our communities today, not the tweed wearing, whisky drinking, tattie loving stereotypes that people are used to seeing. Although she does love tatties.

Leila is a comedian and writer from South Wales. They recently made their Edinburgh Fringe debut with a sell-out run of their musical comedy hour ‘Composition’ which then transferred to the Soho Theatre. It was met with critical acclaim – ‘an eye-catching introduction to a comic of promise’ (Guardian). Since being invited into BBC Writersroom – Welsh Voices in 2017, they have written on shows including Jack Whitehall’s ‘Bad Education’ and Spencer Jones’ ITV comedy series ‘Deep Fake Neighbour Wars’. Their Radio 4 drama ‘I’ve Been So Touched’ was broadcast in Winter 2022. Named a ‘breakthrough writer’ by BBC comedy, Leila has also written on Never Mind The Buzzcocks (Sky), Yesterday Today and The Day Before (Comedy Central), United Kingdoms (BBC Radio 4), BAMESHOW (BBC Radio 4) and Tourist Trap (BBC One Wales).

Liz MacBain is Coordinator and Mentor for the MG Alba, Content Creator Partnership based in the Western Isles. This Graduate Apprentice programme furthers opportunities to develop media skills whilst based within a community setting. Following a career at BBC Alba, Liz also works freelance as a Director and Producer, working mainly in Gaelic documentary, whilst also supporting Heritage and Arts projects within island communities.

Prior to joining S4C in 2017 Llinos worked as a freelance producer/director for the BBC and numerous production companies in Wales, making documentaries and factual series in both Welsh and English. Among the extensive documentaries she’s produced are Welsh Towns (presented by Eddie Butler), A Garden in Snowdonia (BBC 2) and programmes for the Coming Home (BBC Wales) series, featuring actress Alison Steadman and politician Neil Kinnock. Before going freelance, Llinos worked for the BBC for over twenty years, and turned her hand to researching, presenting and producing for TV and radio. She won a BAFTA Cymru award for her documentary Josie’s Journey.Llinos Wynne joined S4C in 2017 as Factual Commissioner and is currently Head of Documentaries and Specialist Factual.

Before joining the Channel she spent 20 years with the BBC and then became a freelance PD. She has produced both factual and fact ent content, winning the BAFTA Cymru for best single documentary with her film Josie’s Journey.
Since joining S4C she has been responsible for commissioning a number of successful Welsh language formats including Am Dro (Take a Hike) and Gwesty Aduniad (The Reunion Hotel) which were picked up by the BBC, and Tŷ am Ddim (The Great House Giveaway) which airs on C4. She has also been responsible for creating the acclaimed single documentary strand Drych (Mirror) and many of these ambitious documentaries have received nominations and awards from BAFTA,The Celtic Film festival and The Grierson Awards. Most lately Drych : Fi Rhyw ac Anabledd (Me, sex and Disability) won at the Broadcast Awards in February 2021. She has recently extended the documentary slate with some successful feature length documentaries, including Y Côr/Men Who Sing which premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest in 2021

Loretta Ní Ghabháin is a professional media consultant with over 20 years of communications experience.  Born in San Francisco, she was brought up in Maigh Cuilinn, in the Connemara Gaeltacht and went on to study Communication Studies and English in Cambridge in the UK.  She has always had a keen interest in promoting Irish Culture internationally, this motivates her pioneering and innovative approach to marketing brands, far beyond their present reach. 

She combines her innate understanding of TV, Film, Marketing and PR in her work for Lorg Media’s clients. Prior to setting up Lorg Media, Loretta was one of TG4/RTÉ youngest News Directors and also presented and produced across many genres for television including a  weekly arts and culture slot on Nuacht TG4 for over 4 years.  Having worked in numerous roles both on and off camera from film reviewer to Producer on the ground with the Oprah Winfrey Show, storytelling has always been her forté and is at the heart of her work with Lorg Media.

After setting up TG4’s very first social media channels, she saw an opportunity to create a new type of Digital Agency that combined video production with social media, with online results at it’s core. She went on to work with their team as a consultant for over 8 years bringing flare and innovation to their flagship programming. Loretta loves nothing more than bringing the best of talents together when producing campaigns! 

Louise Dixey is the Sustainability Manager of Ffilm Cymru Wales, the development agency for Welsh film. Ffilm Cymru Wales is committed to advancing a sustainable film sector that is inclusive, innovative, and green. Louise leads on their Green Cymru programme that supports screen sector professionals to reduce carbon emissions and waste. Ffilm Cymru Wales with Media Cymru and Creative Wales are key partners in the Screen New Deal: Transformation Plan for Wales, a blueprint for use in other nations and regions in the UK. Ffilm Cymru Wales and Media Cymru have a Greening the Screen R&D fund to support implementation and innovation of sustainable products, services, and processes in the Cardiff Capital Region. Louise has extensive experience of coordinating sustainable development projects in the UK, Europe and internationally (Africa and the Caribbean) and holds an MPhil. in Environment and Development from the University of Cambridge. Louise is a volunteer Green Key Jury Member for Wales and the Marriott hotel in Cardiff has Green Key accreditation. 

After ten years as a news reporter and presenter at Radio France, Maël moved to television to run the Breton language service in France 3 Bretagne in 2014. He develops, produces and hosts programs for television and digital. He commissions factual and drama. 

Margaret moved to a commissioning role at BBC ALBA in 2006 after 15 years in business affairs, acquisitions and content selection for MG ALBA and became Director of Additionality in 2022 and Director of Content later that year.  MG ALBA are Scottish government funded with a remit to fund Gaelic language content.  MG ALBA operates BBC ALBA in partnership with the BBC.  Margaret oversees the strategic direction of BBC ALBA content and is the channel lead on co-production/co-finance projects.  

Maria Sabucedo is a Project Manager at Galician Public Broadcasting Corporation, she selects and manages the content at the OTT services Agalega.gal and the kid-friendly platform Xabarin.gal.
She has extensive experience in the broadcasting sector in Europe. She was part of the team in charge of broadcasting Olympics 2018 to Northern Europe in Discovery Communitions and she was responsible for planning the content for launching the British streaming service DAZN in Spain on May 2019. 
Last August she joined content team at CRTVG  to prepare the launch of the new platforms on 2024. Now her focus is on developing and implementing platform strategies that align with the business and strategic goals while exploring new opportunities, and on strengthening the role of CRTVG as a public service media that give back to society through the content they produce, buy and publish.

With over 30 years’ experience in radio and television, Marian has been a news, current affairs and general programmes producer. She has worked for the BBC in her native North Wales since the 1980s.  

In 2015 she founded her own independent media company ‘Sylw’, giving her the opportunity to prepare programmes in her own style with responsibility for the whole production process. She produced one of BBC Radio Cymru’s most popular programmes ‘Dewi Llwyd ar fore Sul’ on Sunday mornings for over 14 years. Since then, she has trained as a Wellbeing Facilitator, a new role in Wales to ensure a happier and mentally healthier workplace in the television and film industry. 

Marian is currently working as a Wellbeing Facilitator on Rownd a Rownd as well as continuing to produce radio programmes.    

Mark Trevethan is the Principal Lead for Culture and Creative Industries at Cornwall Council with creative industries being one of the Ducky’s priority economic sectors.  As a fluent Cornish speaker, Mark was previously the Cornish Language Lead and is a member of the board of Screen Cornwall which has commissioned an increasing number of Cornish language short films.

Meic Parry is a producer and sound engineer who presented and produced BBC Sounds true crime podcast "The Crossbow Killer" - a series unraveling the gruesome murder of retired lecturer Gerald Corrigan in Anglesey in 2019.

Lately, Meic has been working as a sound designer on the BBC Sounds podcast "Strike" - where presenter Jonny Owen takes a deep dive into the 1984/85 miners' strike.

Meic also worked as a sound designer and audio editor on the first Welsh language true crime thriller - "Y Diflaniad" as well as "Gwreichion" for BBC Sounds.

He also edited "Dewr" - a mental health podcast presented by Tara Bethan. "Dewr" won Best Welsh Language Podcast at the 2021 British Podcast Awards.

Prior to going freelance, Meic worked as a Sound Supervisor for BBC Wales, working extensively on live sport productions including as lead technician for BBC Wales’ and 5 Live’s coverage for Euro 2016, Euro 2020, Six Nations, and Rugby World Cups. He has also produced a number of sport documentaries in English and Welsh. During his time at the BBC, Meic also produced music and youth programs as well as leading radio workshops in schools, colleges, and universities across Wales.

Since going freelance, Meic has continued to work for the BBC on programs such as Huw Stephens’ 6 Music shows from Cardiff, numerous football OBs for 5 Live and BBC Wales and S4C, Greenman Festival coverage, and regular Cardiff Central Square Studio work.

Michelle holds an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and works with individuals and organisations to develop the meaningful, emotionally intelligent and resilient leadership approaches which underpin creative, happy and sustainable working environments.

She has over 20 years’ experience of leading teams within the film events and exhibition sector for organisations, such as the BFI, the London Film Festival and DDA Live. Michelle is also an invited Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, for her work developing young emerging talent within the film industry.

Michelle contributed to the development of the BAFTA/BFI anti-bullying principles within the screen industries and the Film and TV Charities Mentally Healthy Productions Toolkit. 

She is a private practitioner, consultant, coach, mediator and trainer working regularly with organisations like BBC, BECTU Vision, The Film and TV Charity, Screen Skills, BAFTA, Cult Cymru, Warner Bros, The Garden Productions, Google, NEO Leaders and INSEAD Business School.  

Alongside this, she is Co-Director of Mental Health and Wellbeing company, 6FT From the Spotlight and has been instrumental in developing and implementing the new role of Wellbeing Facilitator for the screens sector, alongside her 6FT From Co-Directors.

She is a member of the British Psychological Society and is an accredited Mindfulness Teacher and Strengths Coaching Practitioner.

Monika Ille is a member of the Abenaki First Nation of Odanak, located in Quebec. Over the course of 30 years in the broadcasting industry, she has built a rich and diverse portfolio that celebrates Indigenous cultures. 
Monika has worked for a broad range of organizations, including the Société Radio-Canada, the National Film Board, the Assembly of First Nations and Quebec Native Women.
Monika brought her strong creative vision to APTN in 2003 and for many years, she served as the Head of Programming. In 2019, she was appointment as CEO.
Monika sits on the board of directors for the Université de Montréal and the Canadian Museum of Nature. In 2020 Monika completed the McGill-HEC Montréal Executive MBA program. In 2022, she received the Desautels Management Achievement Award from McGill University and was named Playback’s Executive of the Year. In 2023, The Globe and Mail listed Monika as one of the 25 most influential people in Canadian television.

Responsible for dubbing coordination to galician language of any foreign content acquired by Television de Galicia, mainly animation, films and TV series.

Regarding new technologies and social media, working right now in a project to improveTelevisión de Galicia kids´ web and App with a 360º strategy to complete our children offer on traditional TV, in our secondary channel.

Originally from the West Coast of Ireland, Nessa has been working as an archive producer in Scotland for almost 15 years. She began her career at BBC Scotland, working on flagship series Imagine..., The Culture Show and The One Show. Since leaving the BBC, Nessa has worked with companies across the UK on projects for major broadcasters including The Smithsonian Channel, Sky and Discovery. As well as working on TV and film projects, Nessa was involved in the recent redesign of The Burrell Collection in Glasgow, winner of the Art Fund Museum of the Year title in 2023. Nessa was the archive producer on Sky series Fred West: The Glasgow Girls, which has been nominated for numerous awards including the Torc Award for Excellence for Factual Series (Screen) at this year's Celtic Media Festival. She is currently working with multi-award winning director Matt Pinder on an exciting new crime series for BBC Scotland. 

Niamh Ní Chróinín is a presenter with Cúla4 as well as a youth ambassador with TG4. She spent a few years working as a radio presenter with Raidió Rí-Rá, Spin1038 and Raidió na Gaeltachta. She also worked as a manager with Raidió Rí-Rá. Niamh has been a judge on Junior Eurovision Éire on TG4 since 2001. She has been a broadcaster with Cúla4 for over 2 years now and says that it is a privilege to present on the station.

Nick leads BBC Wales commissioning across television, iPlayer and interactive platforms. He is part of the Commissioning Group which brings radio, television and online together for the first time to share cross-platform ideas and seek out bigger, bolder content.
His recent television commissions include hit crime dramas 'Keeping Faith' and 'Hidden' and factual series 'Hidden Wales', 'Back In Time To The Factory' and 'Wales: Land of the Wild'. He has also been responsible for launching BBC Wales comedy strategy green-lighting Sally Phillips mock-documentary 'The Tourist Trap' and situational comedies 'The Tuckers' and 'In My Skin'. 
 
Head of Development at BBC Wales from 2015-2016, he previously had a wide-ranging career. His impressive track record of winning network commissions includes 'The First World War From Above' and 'Scott's Hut' for BBC One, BBC Two's 'Operation Crossbow' and he contributed to the development of BBC Three's 'The Call Centre'. 
 
Before moving into development he was an award-winning producer-director working on commissions for BBC Wales and BBC Three.

Pádhraic Ó Ciardha is a native speaker of Irish, former Chair of the Celtic Media Festival and Leascheannasaí (Deputy CEO) of TG4.   He was a central figure in the establishment of the TG4. He has extensive experience in broadcasting policy and journalism.  His previous  background had been in academics.    

Paul joined Hakka TV in 2004 as a reporter upon his return to Taiwan right after he graduated from Loughborough University with a Master degree in Media and Cultural Analysis. He has worked in various positions in the departments of News and Programming.

Paul was appointed as CEO of Hakka TV two years ago. He has led the station to deliver their best performance to date - having won 25 out of 53 nominations for domestic and international Awards in 2023.

Paul was born and raised in a Hakka village in Northern Taiwan. He is fluent in the two mostly used Hakka dialects - Sii Sien and Hai Lu

Proinsias Ní Ghráinne is currently genre head for contemporary factual and arts / cultural programming and commissions programme in other genres.  
In her 21 years working with the channel, she has worked on a wide variety of programme genres and has devised the channels landmark cultural events and schemes, most recently Gradam Ceoil (Irish Traditional Music Awards), ilDÁNA (TG4 / BAI / Arts Council fund for Arts docs) and AMHARC (TG4, BBC, ILBF arts docs fund).
As well as overseeing the production of numerous indigenous and internationally co-produced titles, she represents TG4 on EBU and other international broadcast and co-production fora.
Her most recent feature length titles ‘Song of Granite’ and ‘Rocky Rosmuc’ were oscar nominated and have gone on to win numerous international awards.  Other recent titles to receive strings of nominations and awards include ‘Éire Fhián / Wild Ireland’ and ‘Cúl an Tí’.

Raisah Ahmed is a Screenwriter and Director working across film and television. Currently developing feature 'Half-Moon Camp' with Producer Zorana Piggott and Film4, and adapting Mahsuda Snaith's book 'The Things We Thought We Knew' with Mahsuda co-writing and Producer Shirine Best. Other credits include directing on CBBC’s Sparks, Princess Mirror-Belle and Molly & Mack, BBC3’s The Break and writing on BBC The Social’s phone drama Control, CBBC’s Molly & Mack and the recently announced WB Discovery animated series ’Toad and Friends'. She was part of the writers room for Season 1 and 2 of Ch4 Series ‘We Are Lady Parts’. She is currently adapting Martin Sixsmith’s ‘Ayesha’s Gift’ for television with Freedom Scripted, on which she’s also an EP, as well as developing ’Nur’ a 6 part original romcom for television with Channel X Hopscotch. Raisah is on the BAFTA Scotland Committee, the Scottish Youth Film Foundation Board, and chairs the Glasgow Film Festival Industry Advisory Group. 

As Director, Wales, Rhuanedd leads the BBC Wales Executive Teams and has overall responsibility for the content strategy and editorial priorities for BBC Wales across all media platforms and services – radio, video and online - in both the English and Welsh languages.

Rhuanedd started her career with BBC Wales as a journalist before presenting some of its flagship news and political programmes on radio and television. During the formative years of the National Assembly for Wales, she was a familiar face to viewers, reporting on the political developments in Cardiff Bay.

Having left the BBC in 2007 she worked as a special adviser to the Welsh Government, chief executive of Plaid Cymru and latterly as a policy adviser to the Presiding Officer of the Welsh Parliament.

In 2018, Rhuanedd returned to the BBC taking up the role of editor of Radio Cymru and Cymru Fyw before being appointed Content Director in 2021.

Originally from the Cynon Valley, Rhuanedd attended Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen. She then studied at Aberystwyth University and was awarded a BBC scholarship to study a post-graduate diploma in Cardiff University’s School of Journalism. Rhuanedd now lives in Pontypridd with her family.

Robin Moore is an Innovation Consultant for Media Cymru, a £50m programme to support innovation across the Cardiff Media Cluster, and Director of SHWSH Limited, a creative technology consultancy. He is the former Head of Innovation at BBC Wales and has developed and piloted the use of new tools and platforms for many of the BBC's biggest brands, from iPlayer to BBC News, the Six Nations to Doctor Who. He currently focuses on the use of Generative AI, Virtual Production and XR in the media sector, and is a Visiting Professor at the University of South Wales.

Rónán has been involved in the audiovisual industry since 1995 and is TG4’s Head of Sport since 1999. He is responsible for the continued growth and evolution of Spórt TG4 across all platforms including TG4’s sports policy, content, sports rights acquisition, commissioning sports programmes and documentaries. He oversees all live & highlights sports programming, dealing with national and international sports organisations and developing new ideas to bring into the schedule. He has worked as a producer at major sports events such as the Olympic Games, Rugby World Cup, Tour de France and the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Rónán is a member of the European Broadcasting Union Women’s Sport Expert Group and was also on the Steering Group for the 20x20 #CantSeeCantBe Campaign.

Currently Senior Head of Commissioning 7+ at BBC Children’s and Education, Sarah is responsible for content decisions across multiple genres for young audiences including Drama, Animation, Factual and Entertainment. Previously she was Vice President of Children’s and Youth Programming at Sony Pictures Television with responsibility for the Pop and Sony Music Channels and before that, Head of Children’s at Channel 5 where she was responsible for the Milkshake! brand. She was also Creative Director, Scripted, Animation and Co-Productions for CBBC In-House, a role that grew from her work as Head of CBBC Acquisitions, Animation and Drama Development. Prior to joining BBC Children’s, she was Managing Director of Elephant Productions.

Seán Mac Giolla Phádraig is RTÉ's Group Head of Factual. Working alongside a team of commissioning editors, he has responsibility for a range of content, from documentaries and doc series to popular factual formats. Prior to this, Seán ran RTÉ television's in-house documentary department where he exec-produced a number of impactful documentaries and series, including Whistleblower, My Homeless Family, and the Celtic Media Award-winning The Crossing.

Shane Taurima, of Rongomaiwahine and Ngāti Kahungunu descent, is the Kaihautū (Chief Executive) of Whakaata Māori. He started as the Deputy Chief Executive in September 2018, spearheading the transformation of Whakaata Māori (formerly known as Māori Television) into an Indigenous multi-media organisation. With more than 28 years' experience in media and broadcasting, Shane also serves as the Chair of WITBN, the World Indigenous Television Broadcasters Network. He held senior positions at Television New Zealand and managed Ruia Mai, the national Māori radio news service. Shane has a background as a political editor and journalist. 

Simon Nicholls is a multi-award-winning TV and Audio comedy producer. After starting out as a runner for Jonathan Ross, making bad coffee and writing silly Latin lines for Jonathan’s much-loved Radio 2 comedy quiz, “Fishy Wishy”, Simon has been a Producer and then Executive Producer (mostly for BBC Comedy) for the last 20 years.
 
Starting at BBC Radio Comedy, Simon produced many award-winning comedies including The News Quiz, Ed Reardon’s Week, Genius with Dave Gorman and Chris Addison's Sony Gold-winning The Ape That Got Lucky. Then for 5 years Simon was part of Armando Iannucci’s TV team at the BBC: successfully transferring Dave Gorman’s hit comedy Genius from BBC Radio 4 to BBC Two for two series.
 
In recent years, Simon has co-created and produced Sue Perkins’ ARIA-award-winning natural history comedy Nature Table for BBC Radio 4 and produced Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders’ award-winning comedy podcast Titting About. 
 
Living in Penzance, Simon is passionately developing new Cornish comedy and drama. In 2023 Simon produced the critically-acclaimed Cornish sketch show Wosson Cornwall for BBC Radio 4.
 
Simon has also created and leads Falmouth University’s highly successful online Comedy Writing MA, nurturing the next generation of brilliant comedy writers.

Sioned is a Content Commissioner at S4C - Children and Learning. She commissions content for children from 0 – 16. This includes  the industry award winning brand ‘Cyw’ aimed at children up to 6 years of age,  ‘Stwnsh’ for children 7-10 and drama for the 11+ audience. 
She is an award-winning, bi-lingual former Series Producer and Exec with over 30 years of experience in production for S4C, BBC, and ITV. With single and multi-camera director experience in pre-recorded and live environments Sioned formerly worked across a variety of genres – factual, factual entertainment, entertainment, children, live - events and music.
She is a qualified industry coach and mentor and sits on the Children’s Media Conference Advisory Committee and the Screen Skills Children’s Council.

Sioned William has worked as a producer and TV executive in both radio and television, her credits as a producer include Big Train, Game On, iDot and Yonderland. She was Comedy Commissioner for BBC Radio 4 from 2015 to 2022. Before that she held a number of high profile posts including Controller of Comedy for ITV. She has also written a number of successful novels.
At Radio 4 Wiliam nurtured some of comedy's biggest rising stars including Rosie Jones, Sophie Willan, Daliso Chaponda, Alex Edelman, Jon Holmes, Lost Voice Guy and Mae Martin, as well as established names such as Alexei Sayle, French and Saunders, Angus Deayton, Bill Bailey, Joanna Lumley and Roger Allam.
She also commissioned The Skewer, Now You're Asking with Marian Keyes and Tara Flynn and Converstations from a Long Marriage.
She is currently working as the Interim CEO of S4C.

Sorcha Nic Eochagáin is a documentary Producer originally from Camus Íochtair in the Connemara Gaeltacht, who has worked in television production for over a decade. Sorcha spent five years living in England where she worked with directors like Shane Meadows, Andrea Arnold, Stephen Frears, Steve McQueen and John Crowley. Since returning to Ireland she produced the first two series of the hugely successful ‘Slí na mBeaglaoich’ (Tyrone Productions/TG4 /RTÉ), she now works for Midas Productions and has produced the past two series of ‘Marú Inár Measc’ (Midas Productions /TG4) and is currently producing the fifth series of ‘Marú Inár Measc’. Through the series Sorcha works directly with the families and loved ones of victims of homicide, bringing their victim impact statement to life and highlighting societal questions surrounding these horrific crimes. She also presents and produces the series’ accompanying podcast where she delves further into the impact of these crimes and societal questions that they raise. Sorcha was trained through the ILBF training scheme, she attended the BBC Academy and The National Film and Television School, London. Sorcha believes that as documentary makers we are given a unique opportunity to tell someone’s story, they are the heart of each story and hopefully we do that with care, compassion and understanding

Tilly has a background in PR, campaign management and journalism, working within the broad field of sustainability. She has moved into coordination roles in recent years and has spent the last few years working in film and TV production, aiming to encourage and initiate better sustainable working practices. 
Having worked as Production Sustainability Advisor on the Netflix feature film Havoc (Severn Screen/XYZ Films) during 2021, Tilly then coordinated a Ffilm Cymru/ Clwstwr funded project (‘Maximising Havoc’) for Severn Screen as part of the Welsh Government supported Green Cymru Challenge Fund. This project highlighted the environmental challenges, successes and opportunities for the future identified while making this film. 
Tilly is currently leads on sustainability for Severn Screen, an independent production company based in Cardiff. This work is as diverse as mapping a carbon footprint, tracking energy and transport use, developing local circular economy networks, to managing recycling systems. Applying both a ‘top down’ and ‘bottom up’ approach, Tilly works across the whole crew and along the supply chain to green up each production.
Tilly also teaches Sustainable Production and Planet Placement/ Editorial courses for BAFTA albert.
Tilly has four children (now adults) and lives in the Wye Valley in South Wales. Raising her family in this beautiful landscape serves as daily motivation to make a positive difference in a challenging and exciting world, finding creative solutions in the workplace and in wider society to tackle the climate emergency and inspire others to embrace a vision for a cleaner, healthier, more sustainable world in the future.

Vicky Lee is News Editor for the BBC iPlayer Video on Demand team with the exciting remit of developing, creating and curating content for an always on streaming audience. Vicky and the team are leading the way on how news is consumed in the world of on demand. One of the most popular formats on her slate is The Big Cases – an iPlayer first True Crime series which employs the BBC News operation the length and breadth of the UK and beyond. Vicky’s career began inn commercial Radio & TV where she worked as a presenter, producer and documentary-maker. She’s worked in live TV output, across international and national breaking news stories and finds her latest passion in executive production and commissioning. Combining news with the true crime genre is something that excites not just her, but a wealth of journalists and producers who’ve previously been limited to somewhat short-form TV news reports.
